Tim “TimTheTatMan” Betar, who has consistently been one of the most popular twitch streams on the Amazon platform, is departing Twitch to join YouTube Gaming, only a few short days following a similar move from Ben “DrLupo” Lupo, according to his official Twitter page.
The streamer amassed over 7 million followers on Twitch, and his move is yet another departure of the platforms most successful twitch channels in the past year. It also signals YouTube’s efforts into carving into Twitch’s big pie in the live-streaming industry.
Twitch thanked TimTheTatMan for his contributions, in a post on their official Twitter page, and also put out the following:
“It’s been great to see all that TimTheTatman has achieved since being partnered in 2012 on Twitch — whether it was marrying the love of his life and welcoming an heir to the Tatman throne, or the trials and tribulations of achieving his first Fall Guys crown,” a Twitch spokesperson said in a statement (via The Verge). “It’s been a pleasure being part of Tim’s community, and we are proud of everything he has done for gaming.”
